As a solo pianist, guitarist or accordionist, Andrew Hedges is available to play for weddings, and can be commissioned to compose a piece of music for any event, by arrangement. Apart from his solo perormances, he currently plays piano in Note To Self, a sparkling 2-4 piece jazz outfit, and in party band Five Get Funky.

He can also be found manning the keyboards in Just Floyd, one of the UK's biggest Pink Floyd tribute bands, and playing both keyboards and guitar, as well as sharing lead and backing vocals in The Lonely Hearts Club Band, a Beatles Experience act.

Andrew is an experienced musician and composer, having studied music, and particularly the piano from an early age.

He studied Music Composition at Coventry University and graduated in 2003. During a year out before university, Andrew lived in Los Angeles for six months. Whilst gaining experience of performing and composing, he became involved with several artistic projects, including working with the composer and music team on an independent feature film, as the resident pianist with the ‘Write Act’ repertory company, in Hollywood, and as production assistant in a West Hollywood recording studio.

In the past Andrew has played piano, keyboards and guitar in hundreds of ensembles, including numerous tribute bands, jazz bands, and in an original funk band. He has also sung in several choirs and vocal groups (including the Chichester Singers and the Coventry and Portsmouth Cathedral Choirs). He was resident Musical Director for a south coast amateur musical theatre company for three seasons.

He has written many jazz and pop songs, (most notably winning 1st place in the Billboard International Songcontest for his song – If You Knew) as well as numerous instrumental and classical works, including pieces for full orchestra, string quartet, guitar, SATB choir and various mixed ensembles. He has also written for film and telvision.

When he's not performing music, he runs his own live music agency from his home in Kent, where he lives with his wife and two-year-old son. His agency represents numerous acts, including the ones he also plays in himself. Please visit www.happy-with-that.co.uk.
